Shiver

I didn't realize that the wolves in the wood were all werewolves....
Shiver is the first installment to the love story of Grace and Sam written by Maggie Stiefvster. I'll be honest I couldn't get into Shiver at first but after awhile it grew on me and I couldn't put it down. It was beautifully written, sweet and had some heart melting moments. I cried. I laughed. I giggled. It was just amazing. Maggie has created a wonderful little world that I would absolutely love to live in. The twist she has put on the werewolf myth was great and I overall really enjoyed it.® Grace was attacked by wolves when she was six and one of them saved her she has been watching that wolf ever since then in the woods behind her house and he watches back. The two grow a love for each other and soon Grace finds out why this wolf seems so familiar. The wolf is so familiar because it's the boy who works at the book shop the boy she is in love with.
The cold. The heat. The shiver.
Summary from book jacket:
The cold.
Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf-her wolf-watches back. He feels deeply familiar to her, but she doesn't know why.
The heat.
Sam has lived two lives. As a wolf. he keeps the silent company of the girl he loves. And then, for a short time each year. he is human, never daring to talk to Grace...until now.
The shiver.
For Grace and Sam, love has always been kept at a distance. But once it's spoken, it cannot be denied. Sam must fight to stay human-and Grace must fight to keep him-even if it means taking on the scars of the past, the fragility of the present, and the impossibility of the future.
I will upload a video review for you soon.
