Ghost Town

Whatever you do, don't get on the bad side of the vampires.
Ghost Town is the ninth installment to The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine. I LOVE The Morganville Vampires as you can tell from my other Morganville reviews but with Ghost Town I was kind of like "Yeah whatever." I mean it just seemed the same as the last. Don't get me wrong I liked the novel but it seemed to be the same as the last. It was action packed, dramatic and some of the romance bits were so cute your heart would skip a beat. But as always I am eager to get the next book no matter how disappointed I was with this one because Rachel is a wonderful writer.® Claire is told she HAS to fix the machine that protects Morganville. But to do this she has to give up sleep and rest - she has to fix it without stopping - Claire completes the task but at a cost of minds and memories being lost.
He whirled, grabbed her arm, and held the point of the stake an inch from his chest, staring right into her eyes.
Summary from book jacket:
When Claire is ordered to repair the systems that protect Morganville, it's not just cutting into her study time, it's a life-threatening problem. If there's one thing this vampire-infested town is serious about, it's security.
But achieving the impossible only brings a whole new set of problems, and the upgrades have unexpected consequences: people inside the town are slowly beginning to forget who they are, even the vampires. Soon, the town's little memory problem has turned into a full-on epidemic. Now Claire needs to figure out a way to pull the plug on her experiment- before she forgets how to save Morganville...
