My Love Lies Bleeding also known as Hearts At Stake is the first instalment to The Drake Chronicles by Alyxandra Harvey and defiantly fits into my top 10 most intoxicating and addictive books I've ever read considering I'm a three year fan of The Drake Chronicles  you can tell when I say addictive I mean it. My Love Lies Bleeding is about a not so ordinary 15 year old girl going on to her sweet 16 or should I say not so sweet 16. Solange Drake is the ever first born FEMALE vampire not initiated. Not only does she have to face the blood change she has to face bounty hunters, vampire hunters, other vampire clans and a vampire queen and on top of all that she has a mother who can kill with just a glance, 7 over protective older brothers and a feisty best friend with a really bad temper. When she is kidnapped, it's up to her older brother Nicholas, and her best friend Lucy, to save her. But can Lucy control her lovestruck heart for long enough to save Solange. What will happen to Lucy if she can't control herself? What will happen to Solange if she can't?®
