The Gathering
The Gathering the first instalment to the Darkness Rising Trilogy by Kelly Armstrong is definatly in my top 10 most intoxicating and addictive books I've ever read. It is about Maya Delaney has a paw print birthmark that she feels like a sign that she belongs with nature. Maya lives in a small medical-research town called Salmon Creek and by small I mean small. But within this small town a few perks turn into major quirks. Maya's friend drowns in the middle of a lake, the wildlife don't seem to want to leave Maya's home once getting near it, Her best friend Daniel starts acting weird and starts disliking people after bad feelings. Including Rafe the new boy in town who has the whole bad boy thing going on and a sudden interest in Maya but why? ®
